SF Range - Frequency Controlled
High output with reduced power consumption has always been a popular dream. Now this dream has become a reality. The SF series works strictly in accordance with the compressed air demand. It produces the exact amount of compressed air required in the most economical way.
Frequency Control minimises idling time and evens out air demand fluctuations. Energy costs are reduced considerably (savings of more than 25% on conventional compressor costs).
The four frequency controlled models in the SF series are suitable for the following pressure ranges: 8 bar, 10 bar and 13 bar. Due to their flexible capacity regulation ranging from 25% to 100% they cover free air delivery equivalent to 11 kW - 160 kW.
The frequency controller cabinet and compressor unit can be located to suit individual requirements, retaining all the space saving installation features of the BOGE S series.
The ARS supertronic control and monitoring system is fitted as standard with the SF series. The current operating conditions of the machine are displayed clearly and precisely as plain text messages in the 4 x 20 character LCD display.
Whether the compressed air requirements fluctuate greatly; the storage volume is very small; or when requirements change intermittently frequency control will give energy savings. SF series screw compressors with frequency control fitted as standard continually adjust the Compressed air output by proportional regulation of the motor/compressor speed to match the compressed air demand.

The SF series follows the S series modular concept, utilising standard components such as:

Screw compressors with the standard S-series components form the basis of these complete 'ready to use' compressed air stations. A D-series refrigerant dryer with a pressure dew point of +3°C is simply dropped into the top of the compressor package and is fully piped and wired.
Combining the compressor and the dryer is space saving and saves the traditional dryer installation costs. If necessary, the compressor can easily be operated without the dryer because the system is delivered with a dryer bypass.
A BOGEMAT, electronically operated, level controlled condensate drain removes condensate economically without compressed air loss and is fitted as standard in the compressed air station. Operating controls and monitoring indication for both are clearly laid-out on the compressor's control panel.

The time of the glass bottle is coming to an end... A new BOGE product concept provides system components for the manufacture of PET plastic bottles.
Screw compressors produce the required air delivery, which is stored in a compressed air receiver. This compressed air is then compressed to the required 40 bar operating pressure by booster compressors and is then stored in a high-pressure receiver.
Except for the screw compressor fitted upstream, the complete FLEXPET system with booster(s), switch cabinet, adsorption dryer, receivers and high-pressure filters is fitted firmly onto the base-frame and comes completely wired and piped.

All Boge 'S' range compressors are fitted with the GM drive system.
- The Boge patented GM drive system utilises the motor weight and torques during each operating phase to dynamically adjust the belt tension. This entirely eliminates the need for re-tensioning the V-Belt or the necessity for re-alignment of the belts when changed. In practice the V-Belts have a life of up to 25,000 operating hours.
- The patented GM drive system permits later adaptation of the Boge screw compressor to suit changing operating conditions - such as higher operating pressure or increased free air delivery - by simply changing the V-Belt pulley.
